Air Mauritius wins the Indian Ocean's Leading Airline award at the ''World Travel Awards''

Air Mauritius, the most prestigious airline in the Indian Ocean has been awarded for the 8th consecutive year as the ''Indian Ocean Leading Airline'', at the ''World Travel Awards''. 

Air Mauritius has won the distinction which is often referred as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’.





The ''World Travel Awards'' (WTA) rewards travel brands for their contributions made to the region’s travel sector over the last year.

The award ceremony took place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Singapore in the presence of hundreds of key personalities and decision makers from the region’s top travel brands.




Andre Viljoen, CEO Air Mauritius said: “We are honoured to have received this accolade for the 8th consecutive year. Air Mauritius has consistently been the choice for half of Mauritius’s passenger traffic. Mauritius has also been awarded with the ''World's Leading Honeymoon Destination 2012'', which recognizes the island as the first destination for honeymoons in all over the world.
